This post is long overdue, so please excuse my tardiness! Here is the Sunday Monday Tuesday Six.

1. I am fortunate to have 3 different Moms to celebrate with on Mother’s Day. This past weekend was busy but very fun! On Saturday night I went out to dinner with my Dad’s family. Sunday afternoon we had brunch with my Mom’s family and on Sunday night I made dinner for Justin’s parents. Fun, right??

2. After brunch on Sunday we took my mom to see Star Trek. Can I just say how much I LOVE going to the movies? My mom instilled in me a love for movies very early on. It was only fitting that we saw this new movie together… If you haven’t seen it- go now! Don’t wait! It was very entertaining, even for a Star Trek virgin such as myself.

3. I am going camping this weekend! I can’t wait to spend time with my Grace Groupies, even though it will require me to use a yucky bathroom all weekend. We all have to make sacrifices, right?

4. As previously mentioned, our dear friends Jeff and Jenny welcomed their second son last week. I got to visit Mom and baby in the hospital last week and it was such a beautiful time!

5. Isn’t it wonderful that we live in an era where visiting family and friends cross-country is made possible by the ease of airplanes? Don’t get me wrong… there are times where I want to rip my hair out after a stressful flight. But when it comes down to it- I am very thankful for the ability to get to family quickly when needed.

6. Chloe is home, WAHOOO!!! We are having dinner tomorrow night and I could not be more thrilled.

2008: the year in review

What a year it has been! It brings me a lot of joy to look back on the year and all the wonderful blessings we received.

January

We visited Bryant and Amy in Utah and enjoyed the snow…

February

Bryant and Amy found out they were pregnant. Yay!!

Biola celebrated it’s 100th anniversary. My parents took us as their guests to the Centennial Gala.

March

Justin and I both had our birthdays… Our gift to each other was new couches!

Skyla enjoyed the nice Spring weather.

April

We celebrated Mom and Donna’s 50th birthday with a fun night at the Pirate Dinner Extravaganza and a party at our house.

My girlfriends and I celebrated Kelly’s birthday with a wine tasting mini-weekend in Temecula. Way too much fun!!

May

The entire (well, almost) Peters Clan met up in Oklahoma for a reunion. It was beyond amazing and we routinely think back to all the fun memories from that trip.

Jim & Stacey came to visit from Washington and we went to an Angel’s game with Jim, Stacey, Ben, and Chris.

September

Liz & Sam were married in a beautiful beach ceremony. We enjoyed goofing around during the reception with Justin’s former roomie, Jaime.

Jaime is still bitter that I stole Justin from him!

We celebrated our anniversary with a trip to a luxurious resort in the desert. (Thanks, Hilton discount!!) On to year number two of wedded bliss!!

October

On the 20th, our nephew Stone Creek Peters was born. We both cried hearing him scream over the phone. It was really hard to wait a month to meet him, but we were thankful for cell phone photos along the way.

On Halloween our Grace Group joined us for treats! Brayden, our nephew, dressed up as the world’s cutest skunk…

November

Finally, we got to hold little Stone in our arms!

For Colleen’s birthday we all made a trip to Palm Springs to relax, shop, and eat some great food! We all had such a wonderful time, and were sad to come back to the “real” world.

December

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas season with family and friends…

We look forward to a wonderful 2009 and cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for us. We pray that you and your families have a safe and peaceful New Year’s Celebration!

welcome to the world beautiful baby boy

Please allow me to introduce my beautiful new nephew, Stone Creek Peters. He was born this evening at 5:55pm and weighed in at 6 pounds, 6 ounces. Amy is doing wonderfully and even said, “It didn’t hurt as bad as I thought it would!” There’s a champ right there if you ask me!

the first of many

It seems as if every other woman I know is currently pregnant (only a slight exaggeration). The first of many new babies for me to love and coo over came along today. This afternoon, my friends Jen & Josh had their beautiful little girl, Claire Elizabeth.

Isn’t she gorgeous? Congrats Jen & Josh, I pray that your new family is richly blessed during this special time!

Side note- I am at my mom’s house right now, typing on her laptop. Little Molly is thoroughly entertained by my typing. She is lying next to the screen, with one paw on the keyboard, moving her little head everytime something new moves on the screen.

UPDATE: Molly is now ON the laptop, completely obstructing my view. Monroe is inching closer by the minute…
