Mr & Mrs Peters

Today is the last day of July, which means that tomorrow I can start saying, “I am getting married next month!” I am smack dab in the middle of invitation insanity, which makes me wish I would have just taken Justin’s advice and sent out e-vites. (Just kidding!) I know the next 8 weeks are going to be filled with tons of plannings sessions and appointments with vendors which is a little overwhelming, but exciting at the same time.
On the non-wedding front- things are going really well for both Justin and I at work. He is very much enjoying his new assignment, and I have just recently gotten a new boss, who I am already growing fond of. I feel like I can finally say- “Wow, I love my job!” and as some of you know, that is quite a feat considering the rocky road I got started on in my first months out of Biola.
As always, Justin and I can say that God is good to us in everything. He continues to bless us in un-expected ways as we get closer to becoming husband and wife. Talk to everyone soon!

It has been a while since I have written/blogged. My perspective of how our plans are going is that everything is wonderful. However, Mel might have a different opinion. I’ve got it easy! I pretty much just show up and taste things, suggest where the bar should be located, and of course decide if we can afford activities like swimming with the dolphins or if we can only make sand casltes on the beach…

Mel is doing a great job and I appriciate all the hard work she has been doing. It is fun to hear/see her excitement. I’ve even stopped suggesting we make a run for Vegas just to get it over with…

As I write this post, the countdown stands at 70 days until the wedding!! So many exciting things have been happening lately, now that we are just about at the 2 month mark…

I went for my dress fitting last week, and it was very exciting to know that it was MY dress, not one that many other people had tried on. (It seems more special when you know no one else has ever worn something!) Justin and I go for our tasting/detailing appointment with the reception site this Saturday, which will allow us to get a lot of questions answered. Another exciting bit of info is that we have planned a last minute trip to Oklahoma to visit Justin’s grandmother and the farm that his dad and aunt’s/uncles grew up on. Justin tried to scare me by telling me that I would be forced to wake up early to milk the cows, but I have since been told that he was just teasing me!

Today I got the exciting phone call that my dress has arrived at the bridal shop! I was feeling a little paranoid that maybe they did not order it, or something silly like that, so it was a relief to have them call. Justin and I went to the tux shop this weekend and picked out the tuxedos for the male half of the bridal party. And, we picked out our wedding bands! (I was a bit more excited about the rings than the tuxedos, as you can imagine!)
