September, here we come!

Justin and I had so much fun on our trip to Oklahoma. His Grandma is positively sweet and adorable! Justin taught me how to fish and mow the lawn, and I successfully managed to survive the weekend without any spider or snake bites. I really do not think of myself as a “city girl” but this trip made me feel as if I could not survive without my local Target and Golden Spoon. Still, there were so many neat things about the farm that all of us who live in cities, or even suburban areas, never get to witness. Each night we had so much fun sitting and talking without the television on! Also, Justin’s Grandma has lots of adorable kittens running around. These are not the kittens I am used to, but the kind that bolt at the sight of humans but love to play in the bushes and stalk moths at nighttime.

In just a few short days it will be September, and in only 31 days Justin and I will be married. We are both way past excitement, and even though I do not think Justin would admit it, we are both giddy about the wedding!

What Do You Have Under There? Under where?

Melanie is being thrown a “personal shower” today. From what I understand at these types of showers the honored bride to-be is given ”unmentionables” to wear on the honeymoon. I believe these are worn in an attempt to get the groom (me) to do chores…

Little does she know that I have a surprise outfit for her on our honeymoon as well… Lets just say there won’t be much left for her imagination…

42 Days to Go…

Well, with just six weeks to go- things are getting a little crazy! This weekend we have meetings with the photographer and church wedding coordinator. On Monday I meet with the DJ to talk about our final selections. I am going to request a lot of Spice Girls and the Village People!!

Even though this is the first summer without any of my normal vacation trips, Justin and I are managing to sneak in fun day trips when we can. A couple of weeks ago we went to the Reagan library, and tonight we are going to a Dodger game. And of course, we are very much looking forward to Oklahoma. We leave next Thursday to go visit Justin’s grandmother for a couple of days.
