peanut butter goodness
I titled this post “peanut butter goodness” because of some absolutely amazing cupcakes that I tried at work today. For a birthday one of my friends made devil’s food chocolate cupcakes with a peanut butter frosting. To say that they were good would be a crime, because it wouldn’t fully describe just how… well, yummy they were!
I realize I haven’t posted in awhile, mostly because every time I think to write on the blog, I can’t really think of anything all that exciting to write about. I mean, as entertaining as my thoughts seem in my head, I don’t want to bore anyone with topics such as why I am continually disturbed by the fact that women feel the need to dress like prostitutes at weddings. See, who would want to read my rantings about that subject??
So, instead, I will give an update on our lives…
Justin is currently in the middle of a project that started out as installing a sprinkler system and has somehow morphed into re-landscaping the entire front and back yards. While I do love his creative ideas, I have a feeling I might need to get a second job soon! In all seriousness, I am so grateful that he has the ability to work on the house himself. Doing projects would be a LOT more expensive and stressful if we had to pay someone else.Â
What have I been up to? Well, my life the last week or so has consisted of doing absolutely nothing but reading during my free time (i.e. when I am not working, sleeping, or attending previously scheduled social engagements). Ever since I was little I have had this thing with books- once I get into a really good book, it becomes literally impossible to put it down. Book series are the worst for me because once I finish one book, I immediately have to keep reading the next, and on and on it goes. Suffice to say, I have read approximately 2,000 pages over the 10 days. Yes, I know, I am a psycho. Justin is happy that I am near the middle of my last book in the series, so I should be done in the next day or so (depending on how much reading I can get done tonight- I won’t be home til later than normal because of plans with friends). Once I am done, I can return to being a somewhat-normal functioning wife… Oh, and if you were wondering- the book series I am reading is the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. And for all you out there judging me- no, the book isn’t just for teenagers. I know plenty of adults who enjoy the books too!
So, that’s our life story right now.
