the wonderful world of Skyla
Hi everyone, my name is Skyla. My mommy let me write in her blog today because I wanted to tell everyone about my exciting adventure yesterday. Normally I spend my days laying in the mud waiting for mom or dad to get home from work. Don’t feel bad for me though- laying in the mud is actually really fun to do, especially when it is so hot. You should try it sometime!
Yesterday was just like any other day… Mom got home from work and opened the gate so we could go to the front and do this thing where she walks to the metal box that sticks out of the ground. Whenever she sticks her hand in there, just like magic, lots of papers come out. I think that the man who comes once a day to our house and plays with the metal box might have something to do with the magic. Anyway, mom always lets me sniff around our front yard, which I really like. Yesterday she was talking on some small box held up to her ear with my Aunt Amy. She seemed to be happy so I figured I would walk next door to where my friend Osa lives. Osa is fun to play with and I like to smell her crotch. Sometimes we play together but mom always makes me leave before I am done. Today I was checking to make sure no one else had gone to play with Osa and then I started smelling all these other fun scents and before I knew it I was 3 houses away from my home.
That’s when I heard mom start yelling. She kept yelling my name and started to run towards me. I thought she looked like she wanted to play a game so I kept running. That’s one of my favorite games… playing tag!
Once I was all the way up our street and really far away my house she caught up to me. She looked kinda funny, all out of breath and mad. She started to smack my butt with the papers she got from the funny magic box and all the humans were staring at her. Then I decided that maybe she didn’t want to play and so I wanted to go home. On the way back I went to go say hi to my friend Logan. He looks like just like me, but is a lot bigger. We started to play fight through the gate and for some reason that made mommy even more mad. She looked like she was going to cry, but I don’t know why. Maybe daddy did something silly.
Once I came home mom made me stay in my igloo for awhile. She seemed pretty mad, but I don’t know why. I sure am glad it was mommy and not daddy though, because I don’t like it when he gets mad at me.
Oh, and today is my Aunt Rebecca’s 17th birthday. That seems pretty young to me, because I am 70 years old. I like Aunt Rebecca. She always plays soccer with me and brings my friend Molly over to play with. If you see Aunt Rebecca today, give her lots of doggy kisses for me!

Hi Skyla,
Tigger here. I just wanted to say hi – we’ve never met but I think that if we did meet, we would be really good friends. Our mommy’s are best friends, but when your mommy was over at my house one time I accidentally peed all over her pillow. I am very sorry, and I didn’t mean to do it, so please apologize to her for me and tell her that I love her and she’s welcome at my house anytime.
Love, Tigger
P.S. I think our mom’s are kind of crazy, but I’m glad that we love them anyway.
you have lost your mind!
In regards to the Tigger incident……..that is way worse than a few baby claws in a Coach purse. I rest my case.
